Anyone people in the US lionize is always revealed to be a vile self serving ghoul about two months later. So, no, let’s not go further down the rabbit hole of cringe cult of personality shit like “knighting” people.

Interestingly, I believe if you are knighted then you are barred in the Constitution from holding any elected office. I’ll have to read through it again but I think that is in there.

It would go against American values to give out titles like that, but IF we had that, I would say Dolly Parton. I’m not really a fan of her music, but I admire how she she has used her success to lift up others.
