I started living alone last year and finally I’m at a place where I have some form of financial stability. I have finally started saving up and can buy things without thinking twice about them. Not the ‘Porsche purchase’ level, just everyday items that make your life better. I need suggestions for the small things that make a difference. Skin care, grooming products, perfumes, gadgets – whatever comes to your mind that makes a difference for you

  1. Don’t forget a good cologne. Smell is way more important than people think.

    Also, get a good vacuum or Swiffer Wet jet depending on your floors. Doing either of these regularly will help with smell a lot.

    Also if you haven’t already, get a complete dish set.

    Also don’t be afraid to have knick knacks. You’re living space is a key to other people to help understand your personality. Don’t let it be just a bare space

  2. Baby wipes, basic tools, a flashlight, 3 or 4 different pairs of shoes for everyday usage, a good mattress and good cooking utensils.

  3. I purchased a drill/impact driver set, a decent quality one too that can help me assemble stuff way faster than before. Good for the odd DIY jobs around the home and is a good base for when i build the rest of my powertool arsenal

  4. * A good toilet plunger, it’s better to have it and not need it than the other way around

    * A quality shaving kit, based around your skin type

    * I use coconut oil as my moisturizer

    * a weapon for home safety that you feel comfortable having in the house, it can be a gun, it can be a ball bat, taser, pepper spray whatever

    * a flashlight

    * A cologne that you like ( I use Prada Amber scented, wife LOVES it on me)

    * have some condoms and lubricant handy

  5. Search Vegetable Chopper on Amazon. Literally the most life changing product that ever existed

  6. If you cook – a good set of kitchen knives. I’m talking quality steel knives that aren’t sold in a big box store. A good knife is the most useful tool in the kitchen. A friend of my wife’s is a master chef. She once came over to cook for us, as a gift. She showed up with two knives in a leather pouch and she said, “I only use my knives. All other kitchen tools I can accommodate and adapt – but can make no such accommodation with someone else’s knives.”

  7. Good pair of sneakers, total game changer for when you walk for most of your shift. I got these hiking shoes with a Vibram sole, I can still go out after work and have no feet pain.

  8. A good vacuum cleaner goes a long way. If you have hardwood or laminate flooring a robot vacuum can be ideal. Good cookware set is something to invest in. Manscape grooming tool is nice, and high quality towels.
