Long story short, my girlfriend has the Mirena IUD, yes I know the efficacy but I also know they can fail and nothing is 100%, though it’s awfully close.

Anyway, last week she had her yearly OBGYN check up and her doc said the IUD is in place and working correctly. Given this, how confident and comfortable would you be just doing the pull out method? Thanks

  1. Not at all.

If I have an IUD in me, I’m doing it so he doesn’t pull out. If he doesn’t trust my IUD, I might as well not go through the trouble of getting one and make him wear rubbers instead of unreliable pre-modern folk remedies like pulling out.

  2. I’m totally comfortable with it but, most importantly, so is my wife. An IUD was inserted years ago and I’ve pulled out for that same amount of time.

As you said, an IUD isn’t a 100% guarantee, but it’s close enough that we are both comfortable not using a condom with it.

  3. I wouldn’t be concerned personally. I would have discussions about if she would keep said child in worst case and this may alter things.

  4. I’ve had mine for 3 years now and I’ve not got pregnant with a man cumming in me so if they want to do the pull out method then I’d be comfortable with that.

  5. pretty comfortable. i had sex raw and cum inside my wife for 6 months when we tried for baby and nothing happened. she’s only pregnant when we used ovulation test. from personal experience its roughly 3 days in a month that she’s fertile. combined with IUD and pull out thats pretty safe.

  6. I’d be comfortable with a creampie lol… so much precum and stuff involved that the pull-out method is pointless IMO, and I mean it’s also kinda the point of the IUD..

  7. I am going against the grain here. I am female and I have an IUD. My boyfriend and I only started using the pull out method ***after*** I got the IUD. We don’t want to risk anything at all.

We feel comfortable with our choice and you should, too. Good luck and Have fun!

  8. I’ve had an IUD (Liletta) for 4yrs and my bf finishes in me every time (Once or twice a week). I have not gotten pregnant.

  9. I never don’t cum in my wife. Nearly 10 years and we’re still good. Frankly, if I don’t come inside her she gets pissed.

  10. My only concern would be STD’s not pregnancy.

Copper IUD can even used as emergency contraception after the fact.

  11. I don’t make an established partner pull out. I have the IUD for all the messy stuff so I want to enjoy that.

  12. The only reason to pull out AFTER the doctor has verified all set up and working properly is if she likes you cumming on $BODY_PART, or you like doing it.

The only exception I could think of is if you can tell that it’s become dislodged. Then go straight to the GYN.

  13. I have had two Mirena’s. No pregnancies! (That weren’t intentional and didn’t involve removing said iud, anyway lol) I love them.
