So i met this guy and due to some circumstances we werent able to see each other irl for a couple of months tho we were chatting almost constantly.

The deal is, I’m really nervous and when i’m nervous i start to gibberish. And i really want it to go well because i like him. If anyone has advice for that, i’ll really appreciate it

And it seems like we covered almost all typical first-dat topics like travel destinations/hobbies/families/pets and such. But because its a first date serious stuff like politics seems like too much.

Anyone has any ideas what to talk about? Hopefully?

  1. I don’t think it is necessary to always talk on a topic, you can initiate a small conversation then in between you should flirt with him, you can also tease the guy about something.

  2. Guy here, I did that few months ago with 2 different people and the first date with each of them was a blast, even ended up sleeping with one of them. Since you already know quite a bit about him then elaborate on those topics in person. Maybe go in depth about his hobbies or interests and ask him more details about them, especially if you both shared the same interest. Share what you like about that common interest with him and see where the convo is going

There’s always the advantage of non-verbal cues when seeing someone in person for the first time. Pay attention if his verbal response matched with his non-verbal. If the vibe is good, then have fun, if not then it’s up to you to abort the mission or not.

  3. I’m married. I gibberish all the time. My husband thinks it’s cute.

Just talk about whatever you’d text about. Relationships are just one long (or short) conversation. All you’ve done is change the venue. Don’t think of it as a first date. Think of it as a first in person meet-up. I chatted with my husband in a bowling alley for 2 years before our first date. I was nervous because it was the first time we couldn’t be interrupted by someone. The conversation flowed as well as it always did with him.
