Okay, so I have what I would thing a bit of an odd situation but a still one I am in. My gf and I have to use non-latex condoms because she is mildly allergic to them. So we got some lambskins and had problems with them slipping off. So I measured my girth, anywhere from 4- 4 3/4 cant remember, and got the non-latex bareskins going off the flat width. We are still having problems of them slipping. I say it is becauae it grabs onto her labia because we are both overweight and when I get going, the base gets caught. She still says its because they are too large.

Is this a bit of an odd situation or has anyone else had this problem? What should I do? She says to get snug fit condoms but 1) I think theyll be too small and chance ripping and 2) I cant find any non-latex ones. Is there anywhere I can order some specific to my size and needs that are reputable? My girth is average, from what Ive seen, so regular condoms should work right?

  1. Try using excess lube on her vulva and outside of the condom. Also try contacting the manufacturer of the condoms you’ve been having problems with. They may have suggestions on what may be happening and may be willing to send a size sample

  2. You sound like you’re just too insecure to try a reasonable potential solution.

You can try on a smaller latex-free condom, but you refuse to even try because of what will “probably” happen, despite the fact that, in terms of protection, it won’t be any worse than the current situation of it slipping off. When you have very little to lose (the money for some condoms), and so much to gain, and you won’t even try, it just screams “I’m actually afraid of it working.”

  3. Lambskin isn’t stretchy like regular condoms; you need to get the drawstring very tight. Personally I would not use them.

Is your gf actually allergic to latex? There’s usually not much doubt about it so when you say “mildly” it makes me think that maybe it was the lube or spermicide she reacted to not the latex. Your other choices are polyisoprene (which would be my choice) or polyurethane. Examples of polyisoprene are skyn brand, durex real feel; this is the the stretchiest material so if the size is right it should stay on. Polyurethane brands include Trojan non latex bareskin, which you tried; polyurethane is not so stretchy and also tends to be more brittle.

Regarding size if you’re 4” girth especially near the base then you need a smaller size; most regular condoms are more than 4” before they are stretched. You need at least 10% stretch for it to stay on. The durex ones mentioned above might just work as they are a bit less than 4” girth. If you’re closer to 4.75” then regular size condoms are fine.
