My (30f) social anxiety has gotten much much better, I’m seeing my therapist regularly and am taking my medication.
I’m in a new relationship and it took so much strength to be in some social situations, meeting his family, going out to eat, I’m very nervous in those situations. My boyfriend (38m) knows about my SAD and respects me and supports me.
But it made me wonder what do people actually think when they see someone is having a panic attack in a generally normal situation?

My biggest concern has always been that people might think that I’m weird or being with me is “problematic” and they are scared to be responsible for my SAD.
I’m aware that’s only mine responsibility and I’m not waiting for someone to heal me, rescue me or babysit me.
I’m 30, working on myself and ready to change.

The only thing I need from people who see me experiencing a panic attack is to being understood in that moment, it gives me so much relief and my panic attack goes away much faster.

Wanted to know if we, people suffering from SAD, are being understood.
Thanks for your opinion in advance, I’m open to any discussion.
