Probably more likely for people closer to Colorado. Its a huge country. Im going to Stevens Pass or Snoqualmie or Whistler.
If they want to visit those places, know how to ski, and they’re close enough for them to attractive options, sure.
This country’s too big and has too many people for any “most X people go to Y location” type of arrangement to happen.
Only ski town I’ve ever been to is Stowe. If I wanted to try it again, I’d just go back there.

I lived and worked in Aspen for two seasons. We got plenty of regular families. We also got plenty of ultra rich people. A funny thing I started to notice was millionaires would dress fancy and show off whereas billionaires would wear casual clothes and baseball caps.
Yeah it’s super common. Vail Resorts owns a ton of ski resorts around the country with the goal to increase the popularity of winter sports and to sell vacation packages. It’s gotten to the point of the old joke “No one goes there anymore, it’s too crowded.”
Yes, if they ski or snowboard those are popular destinations
