Long distance boyfriend is coming this weekend but I’m on my period. I’ve never had period sex before. Our relationship is still very new so I didn’t wanna have it until some time but I guess I’ll have to do it eventually, since we’re in a long distance relationship and I can’t control my periods.
So do you have advices concerning the cleaning, the positions… also the smell is something I’m kinda concerned about, and the blood clots lol.

Not sure where you are from, but a menstrual disk can be a great option. It is like a menstrual cup, but differently shaped. It can be used during sex and there should be little to no blood.
We just put a towel underneath. If it’s not the first or the second day of your period, and you don’t have very heavy periods, it’s not much blood. Another option is shower sex.

I’m fine with anytime as long as my fiance is good with it
She prefers to miss the heaviest few days and then we just go with it and use the usual towels etc we would for normal sex.
In the shower is always a good place to start though.
Last time I had period sex on my first day, but after it had at least been going on for a few hours. We started in the shower so any initial big blood flow would be dealt with that way, and after that there was surprising little blood for a 1-2 hour session. Because it also comes in flows a bit?
I would probably avoid it on the heaviest day, but it really depends on how comfy you feel about it. Other than that, I would shower before and after to avoid the mess and put a towel underneath. wet wipes nearby are useful sometimes.
