I’ve been wondering about the terms “making love” and “having sex,” in your opinion is there a difference or is it the same thing?

  1. In my opinion, I view “making love” as vanilla and soft. “Having sex” is all the rough and kinky stuff.

  2. Sex is anything sexual in my opinion.

I’d say there’s a difference between making love and fucking. But both of them is having sex.

  3. Making love is when the focus is intimacy and connection. Having sex is when the focus is sexual pleasure. Imo healthy relationships have a good mix of the two.

  4. Making love is sex mixed with the passionate romantic and loving feelings you have for the person your with and it’s usually in my experience more intense pleasure.

While having sex it more of animalistic you’re just letting your lust out to get off.

And didn’t kinks can play a part in either really.

  5. I’ve always thought of it as a spectrum:

“Making Love” – gentle and focused on intimacy
“Having Sex” – somewhere in the middle of these two
“Fucking” – rough and focused on intensity

You can certainly do all three in one session, but it’s all “sex” at the end of the day.
