Then they talk about something boring. How do you graciously imply that, yes, it is indeed boring?

  1. Depends if they mean it when they say they want to know. Most people don’t want to know, they just want to appear to be considerate of your time, but really, they just want to vent endlessly and they don’t care if you drain all your energy trying to keep up with a conversation you’re not interested in. But even if they didn’t mean it, you can make it their problem to deal with by starting with: Hey, you asked me to tell you if the subject gets boring to me.

You don’t have to state it’s boring explicitly.

Some people will not react well to this though.
