Dragons! I think they’re beautiful. I’ve always loved them. Really anything beautiful with wings, but dragons have that added majesty.
I like Tatzelwurms aka Stollenwurms (which is how they’re called where I live), they combine two animals I like; felines and serpents. Wendigos are also really interesting due to their lore.
Another favourite for me is the dracolich (undead dragon). Somehow even more metal than most regular dragons.
Dragon 😍 Fear and awe comes together in them. Fire + flight, they are the definition of supernatural to me
Kelpies, grew up in Scotland and that’s what the nannas used to scare us with.
Kelpies.
Who doesn’t love a giant water horse that’ll drown and eat you?
I grew up very close to Loch Ness when I was a child, so Nessie holds a special place in my heart.
I am a big fan of Greek Mythology and the Chimera is my favorite beast.
The Manticore and Sphinx come a close second.
Something about the Mothman for me, other than Aliens. I’m fascinated with cryptids in general.
Dragons, because they can fly and burn things. I mean I find it kinda cool. Even since I watched The Amarican Dragon.
Medusa.
Hers story is so sad. She was just a victim of heteropatriarchy and jealousy. And after all she she became a monster.
Justice for Medusa!
Mermaids, but the scarier kinds.
The Phoenix. Symbolism of rebirth. An end starts a new beginning. It gives me hope for myself.
Stitch. I love that little alien.
Nessie and Bigfoot!
I love the idea of these big creatures peacefully living their lives slightly hidden away from us, only allowing quick and rare glimpses every now and then.
It’s very difficult to choose as I’ve always been interested in mythology and legends, but the Phoenix comes to mind for me. It’s a beautiful creature, and the concept of rebirth through flame (something often associated with destruction) is quite positive for me. I also find it’s role in Chinese mythology very interesting, although I don’t know too much about it.
Selkies. Why not shapeshift and jump into the ocean and become a seal.
Toothless. They made me love dragons. Their personality is so cute and friendship with hiccup
