One of the Tony Hawk games had a Chicago level that didn’t suck.
Oh hell yeah.
The realistic recreation of part of NYC was one of the few things that made The Division tolerable.
Yes,
Fallout 4, The Last of Us, and Assassin’s Creed 3 all feature Massachusetts to some extent, albeit only in post-apocalyptic and colonial-era settings.
The Pitt from Fallout 3 and 76
GTAV, Gran Turismo (scapes), Midnight club Los Angeles, the Crew, Need for Speed, I mean, there’s a ton. Microsoft Flight Simulator gets my vote though, because I can find my house, my work, and my car on it.
My specific area? Doubt it. People can’t find San Jose on a map. Maybe one of the old fallouts? San Francisco is in a ton of stuff though.
Alan Wake American Nightmare took place in a fictional town in Arizona. It had a lot of Arizona vibes.
Also RDR2 had a lot settings that felt familiar to many parts of the American wilderness.
Mw3 new york city,
Mw2 Washington Dc,
The Oregon Trail, if that counts.
Apparently “Days Gone” is in Oregon, which I haven’t played.
Also, the video game map in “Free Guy” had a Portland map used.
GTA IV San Andreas
American Truck simulator
I lived in the suburbs of Chicago when Watch Dogs came out, it was pretty neat.
I think Watch Dogs is based in Chicago?
So there’s that.
South Carolina, but it appears in a mission. I can’t remember if you can explore it or not, as it’s been a long time since I played Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. Mission took place in what is now called Charleston.
GTA.
New Guernsey is based on New Jersey.
Guernsey City (based on Jersey City), Fort Law (Fort Lee), Schlechberg (Gutenberg), Hackenslash (Hackensack) and Eaglewood (Englewood).
GTA IV.
Alderney is New Jersey, though they make it part of Liberty City.
Some neighborhoods are based on different cities and regions in New Jersey, such as Weehawken, Englewood, Jersey City, Newark, Kearny, and Elizabeth.
Surprisingly, yes. Off the top of my head, fallout 76
There’s this really weird Japanese porn game that has you play a farmer’s son whose family boards an exchange student. I haven’t played it, but it says it takes place in Kansas, and that’s all I know that does that.
For Wisconsin, I can only recall Milwaukee, Green Bay, and La Crosse being levels in the OG Rampage. I think Kenosha might have been added for Rampage World Tour.
The Crew has Norfolk, VA in it
I’ve also been through my state in minecraft world maps lol
I have lived in or near the map of every major Fallout entry, 76 notwithstanding.
– Born in NorCal, due north of the Fallout 1 map and in the bounds of the Fallout 2 map.
– Lived in Northern Virginia about 6 years before Fallout 3 came out.
– Lived in Las Vegas, then moved about a year before the game was announced.
– Now I live less than an hour from the Fallout 4 map.
You could practically go right up to my house in New Vegas. It was kind of uncanny.
Pretty much just racing games that include IMS as an available track to race at.
