I remember reading that women who never breastfeed have higher risk for breast cancer.
Chronic migraines from people asking you when you’re planning on having children.
None.
ovarian cancer, i’m not sure why.
The internet says this: Many studies have shown that women who do not have a child or delay childbearing are exposed to greater ovarian cancer risk. There is a hypothesis that the more a woman menstruates, the higher the risk of ovarian cancer, as she is subject to more estrogen.
I know a woman in her 30’s who just went through treatment for stage 3 ovarian cancer with a radical hysterectomy. She has no kids and/or has never been pregnant. It’s also so difficult to diagnose. It truly gives me anxiety sometimes to know it doesn’t exhibit symptoms until the later stages, even the CA125 blood test isn’t very reliable.
Its truly a horrible horrible silent killer
In women, there is an increase in your risk for ovarian cancer. However, this isn’t a very good argument to have a child you don’t want.
In men, there aren’t any that I know of.
