Yes. It was a song written about me by my friend who was also a well known pop electronic musician & tv host. She and I grew up together playing music, but i took a break to serve in the military. She wrote it while i wss deployed to Iraq. It was really cool, touching and it made me appreciate our friendship even more.
I used to call the radio and dedicate songs all the time! Idk if I’ve ever had one dedicated to me but if I had heard my name I would have listened to it and felt pretty special!
Yes… it was actually an iPod (yes, I’m old) 😜 I listened to all the songs when I missed him. And when we broke up I listened to them with gratitude that someone could’ve loved me that much. I try to never forget the good times

Yes, I had a friend write a song about me as a bonus track back in our early college days. I had fairly complex feelings about it: Flattered to have a song written about me, surprised how they saw me, and exposed in a way I can’t really describe. Listening to it was a powerful, yet ultimately uncomfortable experience. Somewhat ironically my Reddit handle is based off of the song title, so clearly it had an impact.
