I auditioned for an acting job over email last on the 16th on 17th. We sent a few emails back and forth and the last one they sent me on the 16th was asking me to send a video of myself and a friend talking. I said I would do that as soon as possible. I didn’t get a response to this email. I then sent on my tape the next day on the 17th and haven’t heard back. How could I ask about the role without being rude?

“Hello, have you had a chance to look at my video?”
The thing is it doesn’t really do much. They are in a position of power and will tell you if they want you whenever they feel it’s time to contact you. The fact that they haven’t yet means they either haven’t decided anything yet, or they didn’t like it and didn’t bother to tell you, or they kinda like it but are waiting to see if they can get “better” ones before telling you no.
