Hey guys, so I’m.now 30.. my birthday is at an inconvenient time of the year for everyone (Dec 23rd) so for most of my life, my birthdays were often celebrated alone or with immediate family so tbh I really kinda just don’t care about birthdays at all… now my question is, is it okay not to care about your friends birthdays? My friends have never given me anything or celebrated my birthday pretty much ever, so when I get invited to one, should I even care? My friends GF invited me out to some surprise birthday at some pub and I just do not care in the slightest and probably won’t go because there are so many other things I’d rather do than get drunk on a weekday. Am I rude or *ucked up for thinking this way?

tell your “friends” it hurts your feelings when they don’t celebrate your birthday, obviously not like that, joke about it, see what they say, but nah don’t show up to their birthdays if they’re not showing up to yours
