So I had sex with a guy like two weeks ago, who earlier today told me he got tested positive for chlamydia. I can’t get tested before next week. We used a condom and all but still I feel like I’ve gotten it. Don’t know if I’m just paranoid. I know there’s still a chance I might have it even tho we used a condom

  1. Symptoms, according to a some webpage:

    * Painful urination
    * Vaginal discharge in women
    * painful sexual intercourse in women
    * Bleeding between periods and after sex in women

    Unless you’ve got one of those symptoms you don’t “feel” like you’ve got chlamydia, you think it because you’re anxious about what happened, and anxious about being exposed to an STD.

    At this point, if you take the following steps, it’s not big deal:

    1. Relax. It’s no big deal as long as you do the rest of this.
    2. Stop having sex with anyone else (this should be a no brainer, but this is 2022.)
    3. Get tested as soon as possible (which it sounds like you intend to do)
    4. Given that the treatment is either doxycycline or azithromycin which are common, safe and cheap, get started on the treatment immediately and FOLLOW THROUGH WITH IT. Take ALL THE PILLS AS PRESCRIBED. If you don’t you risk creating a antibiotic resistant strain and THAT IS BAD BAD BAD.
