Not basing satisfaction on your work.
Work/Life Balance, a sense of fulfillment in your career, and making enough money that keeps up with inflation.
I would say goal setting. You should always be cognizant of where you are and where you want to be next.
You dont have to love your job but you do need to be content with it.
Pay.
Regular growth opportunities.
Work/life balance
Work environment.
Good compensation, sense of growth/accomplishment/mastery, good work/life balance, fair managers and decent colleagues
High pay
Freedom with time
Doing something where you can see visible and measurable signs of mastery. It is not only very satisfying, but also enpowering to know that “you are one of the best” or “THE Best” at what you do at your work. It will build early career confidence and help leverage your career to move in additional directions.
Stability. That comes in the form of competent leadership and viable business model, then trickles down to everything else.
Work/life balance and salary to support it.
