Recently, I’ve been struggling with talking through serious issues with my friends. When someone is having a hard time, I genuinely do care, but I’m at a loss as to how I convey that care to that person.

I am stuck constantly switching between “I’m sorry”, “I’m here for you.”, and “I care about you”. I don’t know what else I can do or say to show that I care about my friends when they are in times of crisis. I’ve really been beating myself up about it, because I feel like it seems as though I don’t truly care.

Any suggestions?

  1. Dude I think that in times of crisis the best thing you can do support friends is to be there for them and share the pain I don’t think there’s a correct line or phrase to show support, but actively being there, even in silence, offering to listen to them (when they feel comfortable to talk ofc) is better them saying this or that. Be there, listen, offer a shoulder to cry. It’s more of a behavior thing than words per se.
