I plan to confront my two friends about some things. Friend A has one thing, friend B has two things.

We hang out as 3 most of the time, so I’m not sure how tackle this because i wonder if come across as “a lot”, since I want to confront both of them.

How do you think I best do this?

  1. I’m really sorry but if you’re friends are treating you with a type of pity or somehow as a victim then they’re messed up in the head. I have black friends who aren’t in the least bit ashamed of being black and it means that basically nothing within reason offends them, in the exact same way that I’m not ashamed of being white and nothing offends me so long as it’s banter or said in good humour

  2. Bluntly tell them. Reading your explanation, these are things you can’t sugar coat. “Stop sending me articles, it’s exhausting to be reminded of how racist the world is” “don’t touch my hair, and please don’t ask to touch peoples hair” “you’re not black, don’t speak for black people”
