Why do you wear your pants under your belly instead of over your your belly? And why do you sometimes let your bellies hang out from beneath your shirts?

(No judgment. I appreciate and love fluffy men. Just curious for the reason)

  1. How the fuck do you wear pants over your belly? How low does your belly hang? Pants are made to go up to your waist and not up to your armpits unless you’re Obelix, in which case you’re a legend and when’s a new movie dropping, we need it more than ever?

  2. For women’s clothing, high-waisted pants allow you to kinda tuck in excess weight around the stomach and prevent the muffin top look. Most menswear is nowhere near high-waisted enough to pull off the same thing.

Regarding the second question: potentially lack of caring, or preference for comfort over appearance. I don’t think it’s aesthetically pleasing to have a belly hanging out from under a shirt, but there’s a good chance they know that too. Big people know when they’re big.

  3. My son is a big boy. He has some overhang and I think it’s partially due to difficulty or lack of desire to find bigger waisted pants. He deals with it and pulls his shirts down to cover himself constantly, even with my expert tutelage of having a bit of a belly. It’s not important to him.

I have some tricks I use but is much easier for me to “disguise” or hide it. Maybe is my many brothers and the shaming, could be the time I grew up in. Hell, maybe it’s Maybelline.

  4. My belly goes out and doesn’t really hang so much, so it would be kinda uncomfortable. I do when I’m wearing pretty loose clothes but otherwise, it’s just not very practical.

  5. With as low as the waist is cut on pants for men if I pull them up any higher than my package gets a really uncomfortable squeeze
