Alright here’s the deal….
I’ve tried many different water based lubes and they all burn during penetration. I cannot use anything with parabens or glycerin because I am prone to yeast infections. It’s very frustrating for me that I can not fully enjoy my sex life with my boyfriend because every lube I’ve tried burns. I did some searching on oil based lubes but I’m wondering if that’s a good option for me?
I’ve tried the Ky Water based aloe lube, good love water based, lola water based lube, and many others. Help please?

  1. I thought the same thing, but came to realize that I was actually experiencing microabrasions due to dehydration. I just couldn’t tell until there was something that aggravated the skin. It stopped happening when I used vaginal moisturizers on a regular basis, or around times when I planned on having sex.

  2. To make sure it’s not some sort of contact dermatitis or allergy…

What happens if you put it on more sensitive skin? What would happen if you put it in your mouth? Have you ever tried masturbating with it where you put it in your vulva and don’t actually enter your vagina with fingers or toys?

If there is no reaction when any of these things are tried, you may be having more of a penetration issue as opposed to a reaction to lube.

If it is the lube, you could try a silicone lube or, if you aren’t using condoms, something like coconut oil.
