When someone sends me a text, could be anyone, I get the notification and that’s it, I don’t read it. I know I should. I know the person waits for a response. I know I should care. But I don’t. My closest friends and family are used to it so they r not bothered. I could leave it for days, weeks. Some people will sometimes ask me why I don’t respond. It’s not that I don’t like them, I just can’t find it in me. And they start thinking I don’t like them or something but it’s really not personal. It’s just the way I am and although I try to change that, it’s tiring. Anyone else ?

  1. I don’t do that because I wouldnt want people to do that to me and also anything can be important. Not everybody call or leave voicemails for important things

  2. I have over 400 unread text messages. My phone gives me anxiety. I used to apologize profusely for this until I realized that I do t get mad when people do it to me.

It’s just who you are and as long as you don’t get upset when someone does it to you, it’s not a big deal. Some people just don’t like to use the phone. This may become a problem when you get into a relationship though.

  3. Then don’t give out your number, or when you do, tell people it’s not your preferred method of communication and give them an alternative.
