A bunch of older people i work with love to ask me a normal question and laugh after i respond. This happens all the time and i feel like they are making fun of me bc my responses are not funny or meant to be funny. Pls help. Example:
them: “are you going to help paint?”
Me: “paint what?”
Them: *laughter* “the meeting room”
Me: “oh i forgot we have to paint in there”
Them: *more laughter*

These people are def making fun of you. People used to do this to me in HIGH SCHOOL bc they thought i was dumb. That sucks that this is happening to you at work tho. Best advice i can give is to ignore them and dont play along if they start trying to embarrass you. Sidenote: do these people do this to other coworkers too?
Turn every response morbid maybe they will get scared and stop
