Won’t give you an infection, but the grease stain in your sheets will remind you that you used it for a very long time.
> Can you use Vaseline as a lube?
Yes.
> Will it give the man infection?
No.
It’s funny: when I was a kid, that was rumored main use for Vaseline, so much so, that if you saw Vaseline on a night-stand, you’d snigger. Now, apparently, that wisdom has been lost to the ages.
I cannot say petrolatum makes a _good_ personal lubricant, but it used to be a popular one.
>Vaseline can be used as a lube. However, it’s not always a good option for personal lubrication during intercourse. While it may reduce friction during sex, it can also introduce bacteria that can lead to an infection. It’s also difficult to clean and can cause staining.

I used to use it (M) for solo play but switched to coconut oil which I think is much better.
It’s a little to thick. Try Astroglide. In a pinch, you can use butter or cooking oil but it’s best not to use them repeatedly as they provide nourishment for bacteria that you don’t usually have much of in your vagina. Mineral oil or baby oil also works but K-Y or other water-soluble lubes haven’t worked that well for us.
It can definitely give you a vaginal infection, because it’s very difficult to clean out (normally the vagina is self-cleaning) and can harbor bacteria in there.
