  1. I’d just say my original nickname was “the butcher” but the opposite side didn’t want their men to fear me, so they started calling me “the kitchen” to undermine the legacy of the butcher name.

  2. Was part of a catering department but was useless as a cook so they joked I was the kitchen as I carried pots n pans

  3. What a good question! If i were a veteran of World War 3 veteran and I deployed to the deployment of deployed troops, but I did not see action of war action, then the reason my nickname is kitchen nickname is because I was a veteran of World War 3 veteran who did not see action.

  4. They called me The Kitchen becauses I once killed a man with a knife and a disconnected sink.

  5. I was the only cook to not get sick or injured and when asked how I was handling cooking for 1000 soldiers by myself I responded “who needs em! I’m a whole kitchen!

I’ve been called kitchen ever since.

  6. I can think of several people in the Navy I’ve worked around who would get this name for being gone to get food any time work is happening. Personally, because I’ve learned to cook for myself instead of eating fast food all the time.

  7. We didn’t see action because we were wreaked. 200 space Marines on the far side of the moon, terribly cold, fix it managed to keep the life support running, the rations didn’t last, 200 Marines went down with the HMS cannon ball but only 26 came home. When the press asked what happened to the dead the boys looks at Kitchen and thanked them for keeping them alive.
