Hi, I (33m, large city in europe) have been hiding in cave for the last 10 years. Now I am back to the dating world to find me a good woman. But man what has happened!

I made an account on this app called bumble. While swiping through an endless amount of women I am seeing patterns that concern me. Nowadays the majority of women (men too?) seem to build their identity around “traveling”, insert picture at the eiffel tower or milano, state that they like “humor and honesty” and there is your profile. Is that really how one would present themselves? It seems pathetic to me that all you seem to have going for yourself is leaving the country for whatever 30 days a year and call that an identity.

Also the amount of women that are heavily engaged in sports/fitness honestly intimidates me. That seems so masculine to me. Is that a new trend? Women weren’t like that in the early 2010s.

And last thing, I am constantly bothered by perfectly shaped, overly-whitened teeth. I’ve never noticed this a few years back, but nowadays everyone seems to have those. Am I missing out if mine are a healthy coffee stained yellow with some imperfect positioning?

Kind regards,
caveman
