I just can’t get my head in the game today — what works for you?

  1. Old school trick if I can’t focus I take a Ruberband on my wrist and each time I realize I am unfocused I stretch it and let it smack my skin. That way I stay focused

  2. For me, it is all about timing. I know by best hours are early in the morning. I don’t mind coming into work, or doing anything that I need to do, early. After about 3 or 3:30, I am done. I will still get stuff done, but it is at a much slower, less motivated pace. I quit trying to fight that.

  3. I sometimes wake up “not feeling it” but my work starts while I’m still home with phone calls emails and text messages. They begin to pour in so fast I don’t really have time to complain or get lazy.
    It’s like working at the ER when patients start pouring in. Lazy time is over.
