TLDR: Guy used a sex toy for the first time in a while and does not remember it he shot his goop in it. He checked it, washed it, and used it, and is worried he could contract a UTI.
So he has multiple sex toys, some he has thrown away or cleaned and just stored. He had a stroker one and put it up for about 5 months and then used it recently. He checked it to make sure it didn’t have anything in it or any smell that was off putting, and proceeded to wash it with handsoap and water, and use it. He is freaking out now thinking he might contract a UTI due to if it was one he discarded but did not remember leaving stuff in it and trashing it. He showered afterward but like I really do not know what to tell him since I don’t know how that would even work. If anyone can explain the situation/outcome it would be appreciated.

Just to make sure I understand right… Did he have an STI when he used it the first time? If it’s been five months, he washed it with soap and then used it, he should be fine. Side note: I’d suggest toy cleaner in the future, though. It works so much better than soap and is kinder on your toys.
Most bacteria aren’t going to survive for months outside of a host. And he washed the toy before it was used. He’ll be fine.
