I’m wondering how common are blowjobs really? Are blowjobs the same as sex?

Well, I don’t think anyone here really knows. Everyone’s different, it just depends on the person. I would say blowjobs are common, but there’s no actual way to know the actual numbers besides the people who’ve come out about it on social media (which isn’t accurate)
Yeah, I’d say they’re common. Just about everyone I know with whom sex related topics have come up has gotten/given them. I will say, I’ve received blow jobs from everyone I’ve dated, but it was always a part of a reciprocal interaction. I never just got random blow jobs or anything, I would always go down on or “eat out” my partner, too. Usually part of foreplay, sometimes the main event.
Oral sex is pretty fun, as long as everyone has good hygiene and is consenting.

I’m an orally bi guy who pretty much only blows straight guys (because I want to be sure that it never goes beyond a simple BJ) and the vast majority of guys I blow come to me because they’re not getting what they need from their woman and just want a convenient place to watch a porn, get a BJ, and have it treated like a handshake. So, IMO, most guys are very deprived in the BJ department. Most women seem to not like them very much, especially to completion (my personal experience in that I’m mostly straight, and also my take after seeing an endless line of articles in women’s mags about how women don’t really like them).

IMO sex is what you make of it. If I were to count up our monthly average of PIV it would be lower than what some would probably consider “normal” However, when I factor in all the random oral sex (both of us receiving) hands, masturbating with each other, hot making out etc it’s pretty high. We do both count all of this as “sex” but I know Reddit can get a bit twitchy about this definition.
