Hey, 17(f) here, long story short, i started in a high school around one and a half year ago. Despite being a complete blob at socializing, i succeeded in making a friend who i value a lot. Now after surviving 50% of school life, my friend decided to drop out. This completely shattered my “plan” on having an easy school life in high school as i’ve been using my friend as a comfort for coming to school. Of course i can drop out together with my friend but i’d rather not take that as an option as it’ll destroy my main plan for my future.

By having an “easy” school life i meant having no trouble in finding groups i can work with as group work are a main thing in my school. I could also stay alone, but then it’ll be a pain when it comes to group work and similar stuff.

My problem is, after my friend left, i’d have to try and make new friends or at least have someone who’d accept me in their group meaning i’d have to create an opportunity for people to either notice me, or my capabilities.

So i greatly value advices or maybe experiences on how to start interacting with people who had already found their place and groups and who i see everyday.

Thanks in advance
