Men, what are your favorite female led movies?

  1. Animation: Spirited Away, Chihiro was an amazing lead

Recent films: Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. Michelle Yeoh is such a good actress and did her character justice

Older films: Pan’s Labrynth, Ofelia’s journey was something else

  2. Ripley in Alien series.

    Sarah Connor in Terminator 2

Nancy in Nightmare on Elm Street

Emily Blunt in Edge of Tomorrow

Honestly if youd go threw 80s and 90s good horror movies you will find plenty of quality female protagonists.

  3. Alien Franchise

    Alita: Battle Angel

    Miss Congeniality

    Legally Blonde

    Twilight Saga

    Mary Poppins (old and new)

    300: Rise of an Empire

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

Off the top of my head anyways.

  4. The first two films in both the Alien and Terminator series of films.

    Mary Poppins (original).

Hmm… I’ll have to get back to you on this one…

  5. Thirteen, great coming of age drama.
The Descent. We Summon The Darkness. Others I can’t remember. Hollywood should realize female led movies can work. It just has to be written well. Not “Oh look strong woman don’t need no man CLAP AND CHEER.” Just write good characters and story, make it believable and Idc what gender they are.

  6. Terminator, Alien, Underworld. All I can think of at the moment. I don’t usually care who the lead is, just that the story is good. But if they shoehorn in someone because if race or gender it ruins the movie for me.

  7. I agree with a lot of the ones I’ve seen here already, but I’ll add Erin Brockovich to the list. It’s a great movie and Julia Roberts is absolutely hilarious in it.

  8. In no particular order:

    – Princess Mononoke
    – Amelie
    – Frances Ha
    – Little Women
    – Arrival

  9. Furie. Veronica Ngo kicks arse literally for almost the entire run time.

If animated counts then Ghost in the Shell. Motoko is hard as nails and has that ‘get shit done’ attitude that makes Ripley and Sarah Connor great.
