Add it to my cash and buy better pc so I study better
A decent coding boot camp and a certification course at the local college like HVAC, Industrial mechanics or something. Maybe more than one course if I have money left over.
Random community college classes that pique my interest.
The gesture is appreciated but when it comes to learning, time is usually a bigger constraint than money.
That should take care of about half my continuing education requirement for the year.
I would study the recent advances with marijuana legalization and the impact it has on my mental health.
Shit that can finance my therapy and meds for quite a while with the exchange rate. That’s like at least a years worth.
I would give the money back. It wouldn’t touch my requirements or needs
I’d finally kit myself out with a decent starter chemistry lab, anything left on the card would go towards decent books on lab procedure and chemicals to get me started.
prob something art related like a ceramics course. it feels like most adults don’t have much of a creative outlet unless they do it for work. as you go into your 30s and 40s do those whole creative parts of your brain just wither away from non use? sad
I’d probably take golf lessons. I’ve always wanted to, but really can’t ever justify the cost. I just go out every spring and hack my way through the fall. It’s fun, but it would be more fun if I could stop launching balls into the water hazard.
does head rubs consider mental development?
I’d put it towards a vocational skill. I’m actually looking to get into a driver’s academy that teaches fork-lift operating classes. One day I’m going to be the guy who drives those big cranes that loads and off-loads those freight containers at the shipyards over by the water.
Computer science of some description
I’m a student full-time but I feel that there’s no such thing as too much knowledge.
I think I’d buy a few books and investigate psychedelics and the barrier of meta-cognition and human consciousness a bit more.
Microsoft certifications for my job.
There is a fitness instructor course for like 900 ish that I would do
A good math tutor.
Getting more physics and chemist learning books.
I would thank them for paying for 5 years of cles for me (attorney).
…travel
Therapy
Mindfulness classes
Psychology classes
Maybe a pottery and painting class as well
I’d use it to get additional scuba certifications. Start with my advanced open water, do nitrox, maybe drysuit if I had enough money left over.
I’ve recently stepped away from frontline nursing and into a regular admin/ IT role, it’s given me time to focus on me outside of work and I’ve discovered I really enjoy cooking. I’d book myself on some courses to expand what I’m capable of and maybe a couple of short trips around Europe to experience the local foods and flavours.
Photoshop…
Maybe not, might be too expensive….
I’d hire a trainer to help me learn how to do workouts with proper form.
Executive Presence
Stock trading or crypto trading classes.
Maybe some welding or general metal work. They have classes at a maker space around here I might be interested in.
$1000 isn’t a lot. Maybe enough for one or two classes. I’d probably want to learn accounting better.
A guidebook for passing my licensing exam!
The funny thing is when I have my license I’ll make enough money to afford resources to help me pass the exam that I would have already passed to make that money in the first place.
1000$ worth of paracetamol and drink it all in one go, all your problems are solved, some cleanup guy gets money too more than $1000 win win
