At 22, I’m very behind on social milestones and shyly admitting that I’ve never been to an event of this kind before. I’m feeling excited but really out of my depth.
What do people, particularly young women, wear to clubs on big nights out like this? Short dresses and skimpy clothing is kinda standard, but is there a different expectation for NYE?
The club itself is live music oriented with a range of age groups catered to. No dress code.
I know I could wear whatever I desired really, just wanting to know what’s standard.

honestly, and this may just be a uk thing, most young people i see at the club we’re just wearing a maybe slutty top and some jeans, cargos etc with some trainers.

no clue if it’s any different for NYE but you probably wouldn’t be a sore thumb with normal club attire one. halloween was a combo of actual costumes and just normal club outfits so
Honest answer, you will likely be fine with whatever you choose!!
In more detail, just from my personal opinion:
Jeans are totally fine, but I would stick away from blue jeans. Black jeans come off a little more elegant. You don’t need to wear a skimpy top, but I would recommend something like, SLIGHTLY dressy-ish. Not quite business casual or anything, but like, idk, nice-ish?
Also, it’s okay to ask the people you are going with what they are wearing!! That might give you more of an idea of what you could wear.

noooo NYE is always for dressing up a bit, especially if you’re going clubbing. it doesn’t have to be skimpy or anything but definitely a short dress with some jewelry and maybe heels would be your best bet.
