Random question I was discussing with a friend but curious enough to know what place would be instant dealbreakers for some people.

Edit:There have been a lot of ‘Church’ answers. What is it about church itself that bothers people? I personally don’t mind my partner going to church every Sunday as long as they don’t expect me to join them.

  1. Diehard football fan that will have season tickets and also travel to away games.

Football really isn’t my thing, and losing like 20 weekends a year to home games wouldn’t be fun not to mention all the away games.

Like I’m a huge F1 fan, so that’s 22 Sundays a year if I were to watch every race, but I don’t let it get in the way of doing something else.

  2. homeopathist or chiropractor ( although pretty much any other religion/made up bullshit would do it)

  3. I’d suggest the issue with regular attendance at Church or other religious gathering is the likelihood that the individual you are interested in will be a ‘believer’ and will want to convert you

  4. Not a place but nothing worse than meeting the love of your life on a long haul plane journey and then they start clapping the pilot when we land

  5. My ex won £100k at the bingo a few weeks after we broke up, and bought a house in Scunthorpe. I consider that a lucky escape.

  6. I don’t know anyone in the UK that goes to church let alone every week. I feel like a British person doing that is too far gone for me

  7. Not a weekend thing, but whenever anyone mentions loving Dubai they go down a notch in my estimation.

  8. I’m Irish, one of the most prolific child abusers in the catholic church used to be our temp priest when ours was away.

I know other priests who were forced into retirement and never got brought to any kind of justice.

I know lots of people who go to church but personally I don’t unless it’s a wedding or a funeral as the church covered up what was happening for years.

Personally I would struggle to date someone who was invested in spending time in that kind of institution.

  9. Sex clubs/parties.
I’m sure many people genuinely enjoy them, but having been they are pretty grim.
The people are rarely very attractive or interesting, many of them define their whole personalities on the ‘scene’ and I find the whole thing just transactional and off-putting.
