Where are you flying to and where will your onward travel plans take you.
I predict you’ll probably have issues if you were planning on using public transport.
I’ve only traveled on the 24th and it was sooo busy. I doubt many will be flying on Christmas Day but you never know. I’d prepare for long lines just in case.
Zombie outbreak.
Low flying reindeer
Book a donkey
You should be mindful that it’s Christmas that day
You’ll likely struggle with public transport so look to other options.
Charles has been visiting airports whacking people with a cane. Duck into the loo’s or something.
Most people will not want to be flying in on Christmas Day, so it should hopefully be a lot quieter than it will be in the run-up.
I foresee an eye wateringly expensive cab ride in your future.
My experience is the airport is dead that day as it means you’ll be spending Xmas day sitting in it.
Border force is on strike so getting through immigration is going to be a shit show no matter what the government say
Be mindful of that if you see metre high letters in a field that say ‘ Welcome to Luton ‘ it’s a prank
Pack an airbed
Won’t be able to get a fresh loaf and a pint of milk on the way home.
There are still carpool apps where people travel with other people in the car (for free or just petrol).
Do a quick search as depending on what airport you are travelling from and area travelling to you could save a lot of money as people will be travelling.
Check your transport links but expect it to be really quiet. We sometimes go on holiday on the 25th and it’s bliss.
I’ve done it before. Airport will be dead, most shops closed.
Honestly just book a hotel room near Heathrow and travel home on Boxing Day. It’s not worth the hassle. Taxis will be extortionate, no public transport.
Premier inn is £40. Just buy food at the airport because nothing nearby will be open.
I don’t think you can pass the border check on that day as the border force will be on strike?
It’s shite.
You’re fucked mate.
Depends on where you’re flying into. UK has more than 1 Airport. [Edinburgh ](https://www.lothianbuses.com/news/2022/12/festive-timetables/) has public transit running to and from the airport on 25th.
