Hello everyone. Yesterday, I went to the NY autoshow for the first time with one of my friends and I had a good time. My friend and I geek over cars a lot, and so it was nice to go out for a change instead of working and studying. We came back from the event and hung out a few hours later with another group of friends. They were interested in what we did at the event and so my friend was able to break down in really good detail our experiences of the event.

I noticed something. A bunch of the details that he was explaining I just would not be able to recall on my own. If they asked me first instead about what I experienced from the event, I know I would not be able go into too much detail because I would not be able to remember what I did. This is a common occurrence with many of my friend interactions and I feel as if it’s affecting my ability to connect with some people. Anyone have any advice on how I could fix the mental rut I am in?

  1. Different people notice different things. What did you notice while you were there? Were there any exhibits you particularly enjoyed?
