Honestly, initiating the conversation with texting makes it easier for me. And then just getting more experience talking to people I’ve gotten more comfortable just talking about it.
It really helped me to understand why I had such a huge fear regarding that. (For me it was because I was raised in a very strict religion and experienced a lot of shame when talking about sex). Almost like I found the root of the weed, so I could more easily pull it out from the ground. And ultimately making sure you feel safe and comfortable with the other person to have that kind of conversation is a huge thing as well.
Texting can help. More than that my partner’s understanding and encouragement helps immensely.
