This semester I really want to focus on making connections at my college. I feel like the first week of classes is the most important time for meeting people since everyone will have a higher tolerance for random people coming up to them.

What are some good strategies to initiate a friendship and eventually get to a point where we can hang out away from school? (21 M)

  1. I wouldn’t say first week of classes is the end of the time to meet someone. I’d say first week of classes is a “good” time to meet classmates, but it’s ALL superficial, trust me. Try to use these periods instead: doing homework together, then showing up early for class and focusing your attention to talk to that same person for the rest of the semester (or as long as you decide to), and definitely, talk to them after the midterms.
