I’m a M21. Currently at a dead end warehouse job. Any suggestions of what I can get into ? Also I’m located in SoCal just for context.

  1. Don’t worry about it. Never know where a new job or path will lead. I’m in my 30s and never used my degree. Wound up in construction haven’t looked back.

  2. I work in an industry that relies on the skilled trades, and from what I can see those must be a good career right now. Every construction firm is buried in work. There aren’t enough electricians, welders, pipefitters, riggers, and heavy equipment operators to go around

  3. not metal trades like i did in high school. talking about a dead field once china started outsourcing the usa for all the tools.

  4. Anything medical, 4×10 or 3×12 shifts will give you a ton of free time to actually enjoy life and not just grind 5 days a week preying for the weekend. Plus pay is great.

  5. Where I live there’s a serious shortage of plumbers. All the shops are permanently hiring, they bill at over $100/hour, and they are all super busy.

  6. Do something dangerous and fun with a uniform and a pension.

    Stay away from corporate bullshit.

  7. Trades or IT/CS, also military is a good option but I would go ANG/Reserves. Get taught valuable skills and good benefits for a part time commitment

  8. Think of menial tasks in your life what makes you feel the most productive whether you like it or not.
