I think the reason most autistic people hate small talk isn’t because they hate small talk but rather because people aren’t accepting of differences so the more they are encouraged to discuss there differences the more they are alienated. I am not autistic but I noticed this pattern from just being a nerd so I started making the connection as it seems pretty logical. Yes I am aware I am going to get downvoted because I am attacking society at large but that is only because I can’t find a perspective that paints society in a good light with this information.
