My wife
Lack of reciprocation would do it
Exactly that.
I couldn’t separate my attraction to her from our friendship and I decided that I had to either shoot my shot and try for romance or move on.
We dated for a few weeks but she wasn’t interested in a committed relationship at the time and I was too jealous to deal with her dating other dudes while dating me.
She asked for a minimum of 100 bucks for weed/alcohol/cigarettes after a week of talking. She was unemployed too
Not being allowed to have sex with her. I mean, it’d be like staying friends with a giant talking rotisserie chicken when you’re constantly hungry. Torturous.
I found out she had a fiance.
When she kept cheating on her boyfriends. Ordinarily should not have been my problem, but they kept finding my number and assuming we were sleeping together. Which…I had my chances, you know? I specifically did not want that shit in my life, and it found me anyway.
She tried to hit me for a booty call out of nowhere like five years later, because she was getting married in a month and she’d gotten permission to open her relationship up to that point. I again did not want the drama, but she’s apparently been faithful to her husband. Good for them.
Me. Took myself out of the friendzone once i realized i had put myself in it. Dated for a few months but realized i liked what i had made up in my head, not the real her as a person. Beautiful, fun, but disappointing.
We broke up.
Because she became a b***h
She was using me
Usually when you’re friends with a woman but you’d like to be more than friends, you inadvertently end up providing the benefits of being in a relationship with you without reciprocation. Some women will take advantage of that, some won’t… But it isn’t ethical to mislead her about your intentions, and if your intentions are to bump uglies and hers are not, there’s really not much more to say after she tells you she isn’t interested.
