Rainier
Maybe Denali, because it’s so huge and in the middle of wilderness.
Most (all? I don’t know) mountains in the US are part of ranges, not standalone.
Devil’s Tower. It’s just out in the middle of nowhere.
Pikes Peak maybe
Hood, Shasta, and Rainier are probably the closest. All are significantly higher than the surrounding mountains and look ominous and foreboding.
