I’ve been trying to date and get into a meaningful relationship with someone for……many years now (uh, over 10) and this is a phrase I’ve often heard after a few weeks or a month (before we break it off). I would like to develop a relationship at apparently a slower pace than is acceptable.

Inevitably it happens when the discussion of kids and the future and retirement comes up. I’m like, I just want to see where things go. But apparently this is a huge red flag for women (as my female friends have told me) that it makes it sound like I’m just fucking around.

I feel like if I don’t solve this I’m never gonna find anyone. Because this has happened 7 times now……with that last being a couple months ago. Advice would be appreciated, thanks.

  1. How old are these girls that you’re dating? If they’re mid to late 30s that might be your answer. As women in that age bracket wanting children, they can’t afford to waste 1,2,3 years with a guy only to find out he didn’t want kids. It happened to my friend and she’s pretty much out of time…..she would’ve been an amazing mum but wasted too much time with guys who wanted to take things slow.
