Me and my best friend go to separate schools since last year. I’ve been very ok with that, although I’m alone most time and don’t see them very often.
Now they have decided to go to another school that is 2 hours away from where I live. They said that they will stay in a dorm or sth like that for the whole year and only come back while the holidays.
I don’t have any other friends than them, besides that I have a huge crush on them too. I have extreme problems making new friends and I know that after they move away they probably ghost me bcs they almost never use their phone.
I wanna tell them that I don’t want them to leave, but they won’t care. They are really self-confident (unlike me) and believe in themselves.

Now is the time you need to give this person space and become genuinely busy in your life focusing on your goals and hobbies, while interacting with new people on the side.
