I’m thinking about dates that do not involve just going out to dinner or the movies or something. Mini golfing, escape rooms, what are fun dates that you guys do?

Edit: not first date, I’m married. Just want to have some fun with my wife.

  1. Bowling is fun. Gives you the room to get either quite close to each other or give each other enough space if needed.

It’s also good for conversation since you’re trying to focus on not embarrassing yourself, you become a little less defensive and more open during banter. Both you and your date.

It’s also great because you can control the tempo. Go fast and speed through the date or slow it down and enjoy the night a little longer.

  2. I’ve gone on a few first dates at my local trampoline park. Those are super fun. And then afterword, we worked up an appetite.

  3. if you like things like going to the museum but have done that already/think it’s too classic, you can try going to the planetarium instead. they have shows for the whole public, not just kids.

  4. Make food and go to the park. Slam some liquor and jam out in the car. Make clay sculptures. Go to a rap or hardcore concert. Eat some psychedelics. Make weed edibles (they’re easy.) Drive to another town or city just for the drive. Go buy some plants and start gardening. Take a walk around your neighborhood. Learn bad words in a different language. Get a hotel in a random city even if you have no plans or business. Check out the adoption center for animals. Go to a snake farm. Go on a cocaine bender for the weekend. Work out together. Follow a fire truck to see where it goes. Say weird things at a drive thru and drive off. Do donuts in an abandoned parking lot. Go inside of abandoned warehouses and buildings. Spray paint an underpass at night. etc…

  5. The thing about dates is they do not have to be expensive or super involved. Some of the best dates I ever went on, did not involve a lot of money. Far too often we over think things. If you have an exploring mind, it helps. It makes you want to go check out this pub, or that park. Maybe see what this hiking trails is all about. I once took a girl to go feed the ducks at a park. She loved it. It cost a loaf of bread. And we were able to talk and laugh.

  6. Bowling is always a good one (my trick, you’re not allowed to bowl the last game normally). But getting lit and going mini-golfing is honestly one of my favorites.

  7. A walk and a real conversation. Not everyone lives at a beach but a lake or mountain overlook just nature and true words

  8. I think my favorite was taking my wife to a private dance class. We were just dating at the time.
