I used to be overweight, I’ve lost some(20kg, I fluctuated from 78-100kg and now I am 84kg) and still overweight but much less. But I can keep it and have been maintaining/losing bit by bit with lifestyle changes etc over the years

I notice my belly is still there but my butt is.. just not what it used to be. Sitting on flat chairs just SUCK.

Is there anything we can do to direct the fat there??

  1. My ass is still plenty fat after losing weight. Tbh, it might actually be fatter after losing weight.

  2. Just like you can’t target fat burn, you can’t target fat gain. If you want a butt, you have to work for it. I get that exercise isn’t always fun, but it’s still important for your health.

  3. Alright folks if 5 out of 6 answers are squats it does seem it is squats.. There’s no dodging it I suppose

  4. Go to the gym and do buttock-related exercises. Plus, you just won’t be used to sitting down without a layer of subcutaneous fat acting as a cushion. That’s just how sitting down works, you sit for too long and you get a ‘dead ass’.

  5. As a skinny white guy i feel your pain. And i can’t resist this:

” you merely adopted the flat butt, i was born in it, moulded by it! ”

    But yeah squats!

  6. Had that same issue years ago after my own weight loss. Only remedy is to grow your glutes and hamstrings. Or get butt implants lol

  7. I’m grateful for everyone that said squats. Hope this helps anyone else who doesn’t know yet

  8. Consider skating/rollerblading or hiking. Not as hard a sport as a gym and should give you some muscle below the waist. Plus, with some luck, the firm booty will be more attractive.

  9. You don’t just have to do squats. Skating, skiing (downhill or cross country), rollerblading, longboarding, and biking all engage the same muscles. Biking by far is the best for muscular butts and easiest to get into.

  10. Don’t skip leg day. I dunno, I’ve always had a pretty big glutes. Even as an otherwise skinny teenager.

  11. I do squats, a variation of the glute bridge, and fire hydrants 30 each and every other day. Now my butt looks a lot better. Although, it did take a while for me to see results.

My headcannon is if your bum muscle is sore the next day after working out, you’re making progress.
