My roommate offered me to hit their bong with their friends. We’re in college and I just transferred here. I hit the bong, sat for a minute on my phone and watching them play GTA. I was pretty high and offered mozzarella sticks. I cooked a good amount so every could get some. They didn’t really get up when I offered but when I asked again in the door way some got and got one and thanked me. I stood in their doorway for a couple more minutes watching the TV like everyone else. I really wanted to go to my room because I needed to get a couple of assignments done and my stomach was hurting. I said they’re welcome to get more mozzarella sticks and I’m going to go to my room to get some work done. They thanked me and I awkwardly said goodbye. I’m so awkward here, maybe it’s because I’m in a different state and know no one. They closed the door and the conversation became very lightly. Was it rude, should I have stayed longer? I’ve been observing over this since I wanted to leave

I think you being high made you paranoid. That all sounds normal to me. You are your own person and don’t need permission or approval from your roommate. If you got something to do or don’t wanna be there then don’t. I think you were polite in sitting there for a bit after they included you in their session and making the mozzi sticks. You got this!
