Hi everyone. So I recently applied for my British passport. It’s been stuck on ‘we received your documents’ for a few weeks now. All of a sudden I get an email from dhl with a waybill number stating that they’re sending my supporting documents back. Does that mean my application was denied? Has anyone else received their documents back before the passport? Pls let me know. Thanks

  1. Nor necessarily. When I got married and changed my name on drivers licence they sent the docs back as soon as possible so they weren’t sat there at risk of getting lost while everything was processed. I know that’s not passport office but might be similar thought process.

  2. It’s usual, they only need to check them they will send them back and the passport usually follows as it comes from the printers. If it’s denied or they need more info they will let you know
