So I’m think of talking to this girl I like, but I have a lot of social anxiety, I am able to socialise to an extent if I observe people for a while, to an extent where people call me confident and extroverted, but that’s kinda a lie cause after examining everything I adopt a suitable behaviour which I Can manage and then I’ll be a bit comfortable, but it’s still impossible for me to approach new people, the problems I face are

1)freezing up in speech

2)twitching eyes

3)my heart becomes lightning McQueen

4) My stomach decides to play basketball

The worst is the after effects of the interactions, I feel like I’ve been stabbed in the back

To an extent I can sort of control the happening emotions not the after effects, I’m burnt out for the entire day

  1. Therapy is great for addressing social anxiety. The physiological effects of anxiety can be exhausting and therapists can help you break down why you are feeling that way and how to break yourself out of thought processes that are contributing to it or causing it. There are also workbooks (and I’m sure other resources) to work on it yourself if you are hesitant about seeing a therapist
